Avon TSA, AER Stafford and parent company Avon Group Manufacturing (Holdings) have joined the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), the automotive industry’s leading trade body.
The automotive sector is a significant part of what Avon Group does. Avon TSA and AER Stafford work on NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) projects for major car manufacturers, supplying Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs in the UK and internationally. P&D Manufacturing supplies plastic mouldings and housings to well-known marques, and Foam Techniques produces performance silicones and bespoke filters for specialist vehicle applications.
About the SMMT
The SMMT is one of the largest and most influential trade associations in the UK, supporting businesses across the full automotive supply chain. In 2024, the UK automotive industry built over 900,000 vehicles and supported nearly 800,000 jobs.
Sales Director Greg Smith explains why membership matters in practice: “Attending SMMT events has already generated enquiries and the signing of non-disclosure agreements. Just one of those enquiries is for more than one million products over a three-year cycle.”
SMMT networking event at Avon TSA
In November, Avon TSA will host a regional SMMT networking event for members – bringing together businesses from across the automotive supply chain at the factory in Brynmawr. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase Avon TSA’s capabilities and expertise.
